I am Hali Aniol, a Mathematics major at the University of California Irvine. This blog will contain some of my writing and analysis from my Writing 39B course. The theme is horror!

UNVEILING THE WRITER

My name is Hali Aniol, I am a second year Mathematics major at The University of California Irvine. My relationship with writing is evolving, and I love to learn and improve myself every chance that I get. I know that I would be more successful in my writing courses (and probably in my life in general) if I wasn't such a huge procrastinator. This quarter my focus will be to pace myself and keep my blog updated. Right now I am taking Writing 39B at UCI and so far I love it. I hope to improve my writing as well as my organization skills for my own academic success in the future.
Aside from my academics, I love music, especially live; my favorite singer is Lana Del Rey but I also like Alternative Rock and Pop music. I am half Cuban and half white and I am very family oriented. I love to make people laugh, I believe that to spread happiness and lighten someone's day is an important aspect of life. The Office, The X-Files, and Breaking Bad are my all time favorite television shows, and The Princess Bride is my absolute favorite movie. I love to have fun, and meet new people who I can learn from.

About Writing 39B

Writing 39 B is an intensive writing course at the University of California Irvine. During class we: discuss the definition of rhetoric (the art of persuasion), genre expectations , and the relationship between the author, the text, and the audience. Also, in this class we practice critical reading and analysis, and argumentative writing.
